Confident, sleek design serves as the go-to news resource for today’s savvy and sophisticated young women.
Branding and Identity Design
To establish and launch the Classy Features and News brand, with deliverables including trademark, tagline, business cards, and an accessible and educational news source website.
As the sole designer on this independent project, the Client approached me looking to help brand and design a new source of information and inspiration for women. The challenge was no single, concise, politically neutral news source existed for young woman from age 16 to 25. Classy Features & News was the solution — a curated website that delivers succinct summaries of the top five daily news stories alongside thoughtful, engaging articles and community commentary.
After accepting my proposal, the fist stage of the process was an in-depth interview with the Client, to determine objectives and criteria for the project deliverables. From there, I moved into moodboards, identity sketches, and tagline ideas, which I reviewed with the Client.
With minimal refinement, the CFN trademark, tagline, and color palette were approved, moving the project into the website design phase.
I started with handdrawn sketches and wireframes, and created two design concepts for review. After I presented to the Client, I took the chosen concept into full design. Once the mockups were complete, I produced pristine digital files to hand off to the development partner.
With the website being built, I created two business card concepts. Upon review and refinement of the chosen concept, I prepared high quality print ready art for the printer.
It was an honor and exciting opportunity to take this brand from inception to launch!
